29.50 Crore - In This scheme total 2240 beneficiaries have been allocated Benefi and accordingly the selection process of the beneficiaries has been completed. through the district selection committee and accordingly the process of providing actual benefits to the beneficiaries is underway.
2 Grazing Subsidy for Sheep Nomadic Tribes-C Backward Class Dhangars and similar communities in the Maharashtra state whose shepherd families have at least 20 sheep and 1 Ram, per month Rs. 6,000/-for a period of four months from June to September to allocate a total of 24,000/- grazing subsidy. 5.00 Crore 3.33 Crore A total of 3470 beneficiaries have been allocated under the said scheme and accordingly the selection process of the beneficiaries has been completed through the district selection committee and accordingly the process of providing actual benefits to the beneficiaries is underway.
3 Subsidy for Purchase of Land for Sheep and Goat Rearing On the lines of the scheme implemented for the upliftment of the tribal society, " nomadic tribes (NT-C)” for the beneficiaries of the backward class Dhangars and similar communities under the state level scheme for landless shepherd families. 75% of the price of the land for purchase of 1 gunta land for semi-closed, closed sheep rearing or 75% of the amount to be paid as rent for taking land on lease agreement for a minimum period of 30 years as one time lump sum financial assistance of maximum Rs. 50,000/- to distribute subsidy 5.00 Crore 3.33 Crore A total of 1666 beneficiaries have been allocated under the said scheme and accordingly the selection process of the beneficiaries has been completed through the District Selection Committee and accordingly the process of providing actual benefits to the beneficiaries is underway
4 To set up a departmental laboratory for production of goat and sheep semen under the Centrally sponsored National Livestock Mission Establishment at Tirth, Tuljapur, Dharashiv for goat/sheep semen productionUnder the Centrally Sponsored National Livestock Mission, it is proposed to set up a Divisional Laboratory for Goat and Sheep Semen Production for genetic improvement of local village goats in the state at PU Prakshetra, Tirtha, Taluka Tuljapur District Dharashiv. The total cost of the said project is Rs. 716.65 lakhs out of which Rs. 430.00 lakhs as central share and 286.65 lakhs state government share - 6.66 Crore In the said project Rs. 240.00 lakhs for construction of laboratory building and shed for animals and Rs. 476.65 lakhs is proposed for laboratory equipment, materials, machines, chemicals, purchase of Buck and salary of skilled manpower. Through the said laboratory, high breed bucks will be selected and their semen will be collected, semen will be tested for various purposes and semen will be produced and supplied to the artificial insemination center of Animal Husbandry Department for artificial insemination of goats
5 Scaling up Artificial Insemination in goats and sheep from the existing Co w -Buffalo Artificial Insemination Centers under National Livestock Mission It is proposed to purchase artificial insemination materials of goats and supply them to veterinary clinics to increase Artificial Insemination in goats and sheep from existing cow -buffalo artificial insemination centers in the Maharashtra state. - 1.16 Crore In order to increase Artificial Insemination in goats and sheep from 1666 veterinary clinics under animal husbandry department in the state, artificial insemination materials for goats are being purchased to the said organization.
