1	Shearing of Wool	The wool produced in Maharashtra is basically coarse type and short staple. Therefore, if the wool is sheared in the traditional way, the blade of the scissors cannot reach the root of the wool, resulting in a decrease in production due to the breakage of the wool fibers and the wool grade is reduced, causing financial loss to the sheep farmers. As a solution to this, the Corporation has provided the facility of mechanical wool shearing. Due to which the sheep are not injured and the fiber is intact and good quality wool is obtained, which helps in increasing the production and saving time. Sheep wool is sheared at a nominal fee of Rs. 10/- per sheep.
2	Wool Purchase	The main object of the wool purchasing is to provide a market to the shepherds and farmers of the state so that they can get remunerative price for their wool. Woolen goods such as jen, pillows, mattress are produced in this centre from this purchased wool.
3	Weaving Training	In this weaving training, training is given to the beneficiaries on weaving of woolen goods on handlooms. The main objective of this training is to promote the woolen business in rural areas, help woolen weaving cooperative societies, create self-employment by providing employment opportunities to the unemployed, provide markets for woolen goods produced on handlooms in the country and abroad, and promote the growth of the sheep farming business. The weaving training is available at the following areas of the Corporation: Wool Utilization Center, Headquarters, Gokhalenagar, Pune-16. Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Sheep and Goat Development Farm, Padegaon, Dist. Sambhajinagar. Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Sheep and Goat Development Farm, Ranjani, Tal. Kavathemahankal, Dist. Sangli.
4	Sale of Woolen Goods	The corporation participates in various exhibitions organized in the state like Kisan Expo, Sanjeevani Agriculture, Yashwant Agriculture, Malegaon Yatra, Khandoba Yatra and sells the woolen goods produced in this weaving center. The above woolen goods are available for sale in all the farms of this corporation.

1	लोकर कातरणी सुविधा	महाराष्ट्रामध्ये उत्पादित होणारी लोकर ही मुळातच अखूड धाग्याची आहे व त्यामध्ये हेयर फायबर चे प्रमाण जास्त असून ती जाडी भरडी स्वरुपाची असते. त्यामुळे पारंपारिक पध्दतीने लोकर कातरणी केल्यास कात्रीचे पाते लोकरीच्या मुळापर्यंत जाऊ शकत नाही परिणामी लोकरीच्या धाग्याचा तुकडा पडून उत्पादनात घट होते तसेच लोकरीची प्रतवारी खालवून लोकरीला कमी भाव मिळून मेषपालकांचे आर्थिक नुकसान होते. यावर उपाय म्हणून महामंडळाने यांत्रिक लोकर कातरणीची सुविधा उपलब्ध करुन दिली आहे. ज्यामुळे मेंढ्यांना इजा होत नाही व धागा अखंड मिळून चांगल्या प्रतीची लोकर मिळाल्याने लोकरीस येाग्य भाव प्राप्त होऊन उत्पादनात वाढ व वेळेची बचत होण्यास मदत होते. मेंढ्यांची लोकर नाममात्र शुल्क आकारून म्हणजेच रु. १०/- प्रती मेंढी या दराने केली जाते.
2	लोकर खरेदी सुविधा	योजनेचा मुख्य उद्देश म्हणजे राज्यातील मेंढपाळांच्या लोकरीला योग्य भाव प्राप्त होणे करिता त्यांना बाजारपेठ उपलबध करुन देणे हा आहे. त्यानुसार केंद्रिय लोकर विकास मंडळ, जोधपूर यांच्या अर्थसहाय्याने महामंडळामार्फत लोकर खरेदी योजना राबविण्यांत येत आहे. ही योजना महामंडळाच्या सर्व प्रक्षेत्रावर राबविण्यांत येत असून खरेदी केलेल्या लोकरीपासून जेन, उश्या, घोंगडी इ. लोकरवस्तुंचे उत्पादन करण्यांत येते.
3	विणकाम प्रशिक्षण	हातमागावर लोकर वस्तू विणकामाचे प्रशिक्षण देण्यांत येते. या प्रशिक्षणाचा मुख्य उद्देश म्हणजे, ग्रामिण भागातील लोकरीच्या व्यवसायास चालना मिळवून देणे, लोकर विणकाम सहकारी संस्थाना मदत करणे, बेरोजगारांना रोजगाराची संधी उपलब्ध करुन देऊन स्वयंरोजगार निर्मिती करणे, हातमागावरील उत्पादित केलेल्या लोकर वस्तुंना देशात तसेच विदेशात बाजारपेठ मिळवून देणे व मेंढीपालन व्यवसाय वाढीस चालना मिळवून देणे हा आहे, सदर विणकाम प्रशिक्षण महामंडळाच्या खालील प्रक्षेत्रांवर उपलब्ध आहे. लोकर उपयोगिता केंद्र, मुख्यालय, गोखलेनगर, पुणे-१६. पुण्यश्लोक अहिल्यादेवी मेंढी व शेळी विकास प्रक्षेत्र पडेगांव, जि.छत्रपती संभाजीनगर. पुण्यश्लोक अहिल्यादेवी मेंढी व शेळी विकास प्रक्षेत्र रांजणी, ता.कवठेमहांकाळ जि.सांगली
4	लोकर वस्तुंची विक्री	राज्यामध्ये आयेाजित होणारे विविध प्रदर्शन जसे भिमथडी, सकाळ शॉपिंग उत्सव, संजीवनी कृषी, यशवंत कृषी, माळेगांव यात्रा, यामध्ये महामंडळ सहभागी होऊन या विणकाम केंद्रामध्ये उत्पादित होणाऱ्या लोकर वस्तुंची विक्री करण्यांत येते. तसेच किसान प्रदर्शनामध्ये या महामंडळामार्फत वूलन एक्स्पोचे आयेाजन करण्यांत येते. या प्रदर्शनामध्ये महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, राजस्थान, जम्मू काश्मिर, हिमाचल प्रदेश, कर्नाटक येथील लोकर उत्पादक सहभागी होऊन शुध्द लोकरीचे स्वेटर, मफलर, जॅकेट, शाल, आसन, जेन, सतरंजी, चादर, ब्लँकेटस्, घोंगडी, नमदा, उशा इत्यादी लोकर वस्तू किफायत दरामध्ये विक्रीसाठी ठेवून सहभागी झालेल्या विणकरांना लोकर वस्तु विक्री करण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहित करण्यांत येते. वरील लोकर वस्तू महामंडळाच्या सर्व प्रक्षेत्रावर विक्रीसाठी उपलब्ध आहेत.
